Intrasquad Mock Meet (All Divers)

ANNUAL INTRASQUAD MOCK MEET

Our divers will be split into two teams: BLUE and GREEN. You will receive an email with your child’s team so you can get them all geared up in their team’s color. Parents are encouraged to dress up for the friendliest and funnest competition!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Divers arrive at OSRC at 4:45 pm for stretching and warm ups.
  • All divers must wear their team suits.
  • Volunteers, check your volunteering time and be late!
  • We will have food for purchase during the meet.
  • All parents are encouraged to attend Coach Cheryl’s Diving 101 Clinic taking place during warm ups.
  • Meet starts promptly at 6pm.

Movie Day with Swim Team
University Mall Theater
Start: 12:15 PM
End: 2:00 PM (estimated)
  • Movie Outing with Swim Team ($10/ diver):
    • Divers will meet at University Mall Theater in Fairfax to watch a private showing of a PG movie.
    • RSVP due by Tuesday, June 9th
    • Arrival: 12:15 pm. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the movie so everyone has the chance to get their popcorn, drink, and find their seats.
    • $10 cash at the door or Venmo TBD (specify your diver’s name and write down DIVE TEAM). Fee buys your diver a ticket, drink, and popcorn.
    • Send your child with additional $ if they wish to purchase additional concessions.
    • 8 and under parents should plan to stay with our younger otters OR have a designated friend/parent that will be their chaperone.
    • Movie Starts promptly @ 12:30 pm
    • Pick up: 2:00pm as the movie is approximately 90 minutes.

Team Photo & Pancake Breakfast

End: 8:30 AM

Divers must arrive by 7:15am on-time wearing their Otters team swimsuit.  The photographer will take the dive team photo at 7:30am and immediately following will take individual or sibling photos. 

After photos divers will be treated to a pancake breakfast.

From 123: - turn onto Braddock Road east at light, go 1 mile, - turn left onto Roberts road at light, go .8 mile, - pool will be on your left.

Dive team members and their families are invited to stay after the potluck dinner for a family friendly movie on the pool deck complete with popcorn and root beer floats!

Outdoor Laser Tag with Swim (10&Under)

End: 2:30 PM

Kids are welcome to come and have some fun playing outdoor laser tag with friends around OSRC. Cost is $10 per diver and RSVP is due by Monday, June 16th. Must wear closed toe shoes and sunscreen and bring water. Coaches will be available and participating with the kids.

Divers are welcome to come and have some fun playing outdoor laser tag with friends around OSRC. This combined event with swim team members costs $10 per diver and RSVP is due by Monday, June 16th. If you are a swimmer and have already RSVP'd and paid through swim, there is no need to RSVP again. Must wear closed toe shoes and sunscreen and bring water. Coaches will be available and participating with the kids.

From Spout Run
From the GW Parkway, proceed up Spout Run and take the first exit on the right, Lorcom Lane. Proceed on Lorcom Lane for 0.5 miles, and turn right at the bottom of the hill onto Nellie Custis Drive. In 0.4 miles, Nellie Custis will merge onto Military Road. Follow Military Road for another 0.3 miles, and turn right at the light onto Marcey Road. DRRA is 0.3 miles ahead on the right hand side.

From I-66 heading East
From I-66 East, take exit 72 (Spout Run). At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left on Lee Highway (US-29). Follow Lee Highway for 0.5 miles to the stop light at Military Road. Turn right onto Military Road, and follow for 0.8 miles to the light at Marcey Road. DRRA is 0.3 miles ahead on the right hand side.

From Lee Highway heading East
From Falls Church, follow Washington Street (becomes Lee Highway), US-29 for 3.7 miles to the light at Military Road. Turn left onto Military Road, and follow for 0.8 miles to the light at Marcey Road. DRRA is 0.3 miles ahead on the right hand side.
